AI CAD with the Fusion MCP
How I let an AI model native Autodesk Fusion parts, and what it has built so far.
Why I built it
Driving Fusion by clicking through it with an AI was slow and fragile. So I asked Codex to build an MCP: a local server plus a Fusion add-in that gives an AI real modeling tools. It sketches, extrudes, inspects the model and checks clearances, then saves checkpoints.
What it built
GPT Astra used it to model Branca R59, a fully parametric extruder for my Ender 3 Pro.
